| SERVICE
POLICY |
| 1. Port
Computers is NOT RESPONSIBLE for data loss. BACK UP YOUR DATA before
bringing in your computer for service. |
| 2. If
your computer is not in perfect working order when you bring your
machine in for an upgrade, LET US KNOW. Failure to tell us of any
known problems will increase the repair time and service charges. |
| 3. If
your replacing an old hard drive with a new hard drive, you can have
your data transferred from your old hard drive, But programs are
generally not transferable. Your operating system CD and license
number is required. |
| 4. If
your computer is having the hard drive, motherboard, or operating
system replaced, please bring in the manuals and driver disks for your
video card, sound card, CD-R, etc. |
| 5. Not
all legacy hardware and software will work properly with new computer components,
and not all new components with work properly in older systems.
Additional time may be billed for downloading BIOS patches, driver
updates, and utility programs. |
